I don't need to add anything as the reviews are already telling everything but yes, best place to eat sushi and roll and sashimi and all else. I wish they have online reservation system. But all else is perfect.

Just a quick update ........ San Diego Foodies and Carlsbad Foodies on meetup go as a group to Ken Sushi quarterly and this time around Ken Sushi had a few different things on the Love Omakase order. So since it's our job to let you know if you should go with the Love Omakase or not, I say ... WE say: go with it once again. Here's just a few comments that add to the prior reviews: Japanese eggplant with tuna, tartare, mango, and caviar. Sheri loves it. Everyone is saying how good it is. Jason loves the oysters. I personally enjoy the pumpkin purée with lobster and shrimp. Marie is surprised that every single plate has such fresh Fish that was "delicious and melt in my mouth, very buttery". She says" "Each dish is so different with a different sauce and every single piece of fish is really fresh." If I would say anything more about Ken Sushi workshop it would be to say that this is a Michelin star experience without a Michelin star. It's like no other sushi place you will eat at, especially if you order the Love Omakase. Last time I talked with Ken, he was explaining that he cooks with love. Maybe that's why he named it the Love Omakase. I wouldn't be surprised. You know he puts a lot of love in creating the dish plating the dish and presenting the dish. Thanks Ken! Seriously one of the best sushi spots in SD. This is my 3rd time here and it did not disappoint. They were fully booked but Kumi and Regina found a way to get us a table for someone who didn't show up. This is called top notch customer service right here! On top of the great quality fish, fair prices, and lovely ambiance, JACOB our server was over the top amazing and super attentive! His level of awareness was impeccable! Thanks so much for such a great experience as always!~

We had a reservation for a table for a Friday night and a friend called ahead for a special birthday and we got a little surprise so thank you so so much!!!! We ordered 4 orders of the Love Omakase and my goodness the delicacy and taste was gorgeous and delightful. the quality of the sashimi and every dish melts into your mouth and you WILL never forget each piece of the omakase. I highly recommend ordering the Love Omakase.

This was the 2nd time here, my friend and I came here last April and the food and service were just as good as the first time here. Reservations are a must if you want a prime eating hours. Ours was on a Tuesday at 7:00. When we arrived the inside seating was filled with our table awaiting us. Jared introduced himself as our server, very nice and attentive. We had ordered a bottle of Sake, Crispy Rice, Hamachi Jalapeno, Hamachi Kama, Spicy Tuna Roll and Eel, Salmon Belly, Sea Urchin, Smelt Egg Nigiri. All the dishes tasted great, the fish all fresh. This restaurant is pricey but excellent. Atmosphere: small typical Japanese decor with fun bubble seating outdoors. Service: excellent. Food: excellent.

Need to update. Ken is our go to sushi place in north county. It's pretty much the only excellent sushi place in north county. Service is just wonderful and friendly and efficient. The sushi menu is excellent and Ken has interesting twists and not just run-of the mill sushi and sashimi. Highly recommend the unchanging specials menu, my favorite is the hamachi jalapeño. All are delicious! You can opt for omakase as well if you'd like. The spicy tuna and crispy rice is the best I've had because the rice is perfect. Sit at the sushi bar with Ken and see where it takes you. There's always a buzz here for good reason. Lovely outdoor seating as well that they've expanded since Covid. Not cheap but what quality sushi place is. This one is delicious with some twists on the usual favorites with a great vibe and ambiance.

Absolutely love this spot! They have a very cute bubble dome dining experience (kind of like an outdoor cabana) with a fire pit by each one. Excellent service and the fish is very fresh! I highly recommend any dish with their toro.

Food and service were really good. And the interior was really cute. Plenty of parking which is always a plus. We ordered 3 rolls: - Unagi - Hula - Workshop My personal favorite was the workshop. Will be coming back again!

The price is a bit pricey but makes sense for the quality and location. Look forward to come back. You can't go wrong with any of the sashimi or uni! My go to are usually the fatty fish, salmon belly, tuna belly and uni! Sweet shrimp if in season.
